You have to see this amazing kid. He blows me away. He does things on a skateboard that you haven’t even dreampt about. This evil genius does things that I can’t even imagine…he honestly makes me terrified at times that he’ll kill himself. He just put out a full length DVD called the Denver Shop and from the likes of this video, I’m sure that thing will be playing non-stop for a bit in my garage.
Check out this awesome song by rock group Mabel. Coming from the wonderful year of 1978, this song will take you back to a more “radical” time. I don’t know what it is about this jam but I am seriously loving it. This makes me feel young again. Coming home from school, grabbing my deck, heading out to the backyard and just skating the afternoon away. After which, I would grab a Totino’s pizza, ploop down on the couch, watch Rocko’s Modern Life and then maybe play some Twisted Metal Black.
With the leaves changing color and the pumpkins being out and a about, Winter will be here sooner than you think (Walmart already has the Christmas decorations in stock…it’s crazy). Anyways, one of the best things about winter is the snow and one of the best things about the snow is snowboarding. Here is a sweet video of Swedish boarder Niels Schack. The kid is like 17 and is one of the best I’ve ever seen. He’s certainly going to be big….and soon too.
This video was for the Transworld Lose Your Illusion: Skate and Create contest. It takes various skate teams, photographers and sponsors and pits them against one another. This partiicular video is from the Fallen team and features, James Hardy, Billy Marks, Tom Asta, Chris Cole and Tommy Sandoval.
It was filmed in Carlsbad, California by Seu Trinh, Dave Chami, Oliver Barton and Mike O’Meally with direction by Matt Irving, Mike Gilbert, Benny Maglinao and Ty Evans.
It is such a creative video. I would love to see more skateboarding films feature artistic shots like these. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
With the the regular season starting this Thursday (8:30 PM EST) with Farve’s Vikings taking on the NFL champ Saints in New Orleans this is bound to be an awesome season. Here are some facts about the league that you may not have been aware of.
You may have seen the animated gif of this floating around but it in no way compares to the awesomeness that is this video. I wish we could watch sumo matches like this in real life. Maybe in short order we’ll be able to use our “smart phones” (that you can’t even talk on) and augmented reality to watch E. Honda take on the Grasshopper.
I love the old skate videos…back when they were still fun to watch and entertaining. They weren’t full of stupid pranks and Knoxville-crotch humor. This short video from Tim and Eric has a bunch of cool skate tricks. This makes me feel like a teenager again…happy days.
For the typical American, soccer (football?) is not normally on their radar. But with the FIFA World Cup in full swing down in South Africa there has certainly been a good deal of buzz about the sport. Especially with both of the USA games controversial draws.
With that in mind we thought we’d help out the general population and give you a visual guide to understanding some of your World Cup teams.
Anyone that was watching the FIFA World Cup today surely witnessed one of the most unfortunate goals of all time…that is if you’re an England fan, or Robert Green. This has got to be one of the worst fails in World Cup history. I feel really bad for him, I’ll bet he never hears the end of this. For us here on the left of the Atlantic though, this was the best possible thing that could have happened. Go USA!!!
Too bad for the English the ball had a little too much…wait for it…English on it. I’m thinking it will be a long time before they’re able to live this one down. If the first game had this much excitement maybe the next month won’t be too bad…and maybe soccer will catch on over here. At least this way it’s similar to NASCAR or Jersey Shore, you watch it to see the wrecks and crashes.
