In the latest installment documenting Kenny Powers’ tear through the world of sports attire as new CEO of K-Swiss, his newest marketing guru and NFL quarterback Matt Cassel puts out some pretty $%^#ing impressive slogan ideas.

The US economy is more deeply affected by sports than most realize. Professional football, baseball, and basketball are magnets for dollars spent within and around the cities that have teams. A lockout can have a tremendous impact on more than just the players and teams. Small businesses thrive based upon activity during sports seasons. When a sport such as football fails to deliver, these businesses can be hurt more than the teams and players themselves.

Once the final player was drafted yesterday, the NFL officially reinstated the lockout. Now everyone has to wait for the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to rule on the NFL’s appeal of a lower-court ruling that lifted the lockout last week.

If things don’t turn, people will be hurt. Here’s a graphical look at the impact of a lockout from our friends at Focus.

Neither here nor there, the reason I’m bringing any of this up is because I just say this Michael Jordan commercial and started missing him all over again. What an amazing basketball player he was. This video just shows how incredible he was….but not through him. I think this is one of the most beautiful and brilliant basketball commercials ever. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Well apparently the snow brings out a little wild in this guy. I’m sure there is a little less work to do on snow days. So what better way to pass a little time than doing a little buggy sketching. Shoot, I know I would just love to do this. I’m jealous for sure.

When Olga performed Korbut Flip at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, it was the first backwards release move ever attempted on the uneven bars.

After the boards displayed a score of 9.8, the audience began to whistle, jeer, stamp their feet, and shout vulgar remarks at the judges in disapproval, believing her score to be too low. However, the judges refused to change her score.

The Korbut Flip on uneven bars is no longer allowed in gymnastics competition because it involves standing on the high bar, a maneuver which is now illegal in the Code of Points.

He clearly like to get things going. I like TO and I like McNabb but I’m not sure if any of this is necessary. Why go out in the public and make someone feel even worse right after a huge loss like that? The good thing to see is that Vick is back to full form. He’s got legs like he just came out of college. That man is incredible. The Eagles scored the most points in MNF history and Vick became the first player in league history to post at least 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, four touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns. He was 20-of-28 for 333 yards and four touchdowns and rushed eight times for 80 yards and two touchdowns. That dude is a true baller.
