First up is the McKFC Double Up or Double Over from Reid at eHamOnRye. It’s your favorite sandwich from McDonald’s the classic Big Mac with a KFC Double Downs thrown in the middle for good measure.
Okay, I swear DQ (Dairy Queen) has not contacted me or asked me to put this up….I would have loved it if they had though. I just can’t get over their Blizzards…..I love them…they’re one of my favoritest treats of all time (next to the McDonald’s Chocolate Sundaes).
The thing is, its the 25 year anniversary of the introduction of the Blizzard and they are all over the place. The toughest thing about it too is that I usually end up staring at the board for so long trying to decide which one to get. Good thing they’re offering buy one and get the second for a quarter (from April 19th-26th)…problem is I still have to pick just two flavors. What’s your favorite? I mean come on!!! Look at all those wonderful concoctions (and there are even more on their site). If only I could be the guy that comes up with these…I would be in Heaven…and you would see some awesome things on their menu.
For those of you not familiar with In-N-Out (they’re just on the westcoast for now…but even Ronald McDonald prefers them) its probably one of the best chain hamburger restaurants you’ll come by. There is nothing better than a Double-Double (2 beef patties & 2 cheese slices) made Animal Style (with grilled onions & mustard with extra ‘sauce’) on a late Friday night.
I’ve spent upwards of an hour and a half just to get me a burger from them. Yes…they are that good. Although there menu is pretty much just burgers, fries and shakes, they have a whole slew of secret menu items you can order. From the Flying Dutchman (2 beef patties & 2 cheese slices, nothing else) to Protein Style burgers (no bun, wrapped in iceberg lettuce leaf).
One thing that is certainly not on their secret (or regular) menu is the Double-Double Down Sandwich. This was made by a couple of brilliant kids in Southern California (Brian Obnoxious & Karl Schubach). Basically it consists of bun, cheese, beef patty, fried chicken breast, Colonel sauce, cheese, bacon, fried chicken breast, lettuce tomato, special sauce, cheese, beef patty and bun.
Stephanie Torres of Woman vs Food fame has successfully consumed the 7 pound Extreme Grizzly burrito from Marianito’s in San Antonio, Texas….and she does it so nonchalantly its scary. You actually have an hour to complete the challenge but she dominates it no problem (with just a few burps to make room). I’ve also added a video of her eating the Four Horseman Burger from Chunky’s (also in San Antonio) below. Enjoy your lunch!
I hope you’re sitting down to a nice bowl of cereal in front of the telly about to get into a nice Saturday morning filled with cartoons. But have you been put off recently by the lack of prizes (premiums) in today’s cereal? I remember when I was growing up always having a treat to fish out. Now General Mills and Kelloggs seem to care less about a toy for little Jane & Todd. Thankfully someone is stepping up to the plate with the introduction of All-Prize Cereal.
This Wu-Tang pizza ain’t nothin’ to f*** wit. I’d love to get just one slice of it. It’s got to be one of the best and well executed pizza homages I’ve seen. I couldn’t get exact information on where this was made but if anyone has more intell be sure to drop it in the comments. If this has made you hungry you can check out some other delicious pies here and if this has made you nostalgic for some good old Shaolin-style beats head over here.
Hello to my dreams. How come I never thought of this? These are a few of my favorite things smashed together. The good folks at Kellogg’s have put up a recipe so you and I can make them for ourselves. I know what I’m going to be having as an afternoon snack.
Supposedly the worlds first “High Fashion. Slow Motion. Food Fight” brought to you by the good folks Bill Bowles & Tyler MacNiven from Cordarounds. As they suggest do not watch on a full stomach….unless you enjoy raw eggs, baked beans, banana cream pies or turkey gravy seen smashed against the face. I can’t decide whether or not this is extremely funny or extremely gross.
“He wouldn’t be afraid to show his feminine side, if he had one. His mother has a tattoo that reads ‘Son.’ At museums, he’s allowed to touch the art. He is the Most Interesting Man in the World.”
“Be wary of a woman who only shows up when you are winning.”
“He once challenged his own reflection to a staring contest. On the fourth day, he won.”
If you’d like to view the all of the previous commercials you can see them at Eat Me Daily.
Maybe Dr. Seuss’ Sam I Am would want some green bacon instead of the green eggs and ham. I think even I would fancy a bit of this tasty rainbow. Check out how they did this and see the cooked bacon over at Bacon Today.
