Happy Saturday morning to you. What better way to celebrate the week then to spend a little time with the Muppets. I’ll bet you’ve seen their original Bohemian Rhapsody video but if you haven’t I’ve put it below the first video. It’s amazing and a must see. The first video here is a followup to the original and it’s Kermit’s commentary on the original. Hope you have a good one…now on to the weekend.
There are quite a few things that pique my curiosity about this picture. Aside from the obvious of why this man is covered in Post-its…a few other things that I question are:
The use of only pink Post-its
The man in the blue trunks with the Nerf gun (or water gun, but it’s a pretty weak one at that)
The gentleman tanning in the black mankini
…and Mr. Post-it Man’s choice of shorts and slippers
A new book by author Kitty Kelley, an unauthorized biography titled “Oprah” has a whole host of accusations about the media mogul, amongst the many are:
Oprah had secret lesbian affairs
Her production company is run like a cult
Winfrey concocted stories about sexual abuse she suffered as a child
She grossly exaggerated the poverty she was brought up in
Paid large amounts to conceal her lesbian affairs
Winfrey sold her body to earn extra money and has even described herself as a teen “prostitute”
She doesn’t know the true identity of her biological father
She won’t let her mother have her phone number and doesn’t talk to her
A Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, England man has been given a 3-year driving suspension for riding a pink Hot Wheels Barbie car while intoxicated. The 40-year old, Paul Hutton, was pulled over by local police doing a swift 4 miles an hour. He was on his was to a mate’s house, presumably to get more beer, 500 yards away.
He was admitted that he was “a complete twit” and said that he had to “be a contortionist to get in the car.” He continues by saying, “I’m not unhappy with my punishment, just a little surprised. I think it perhaps needn’t have gone to court. Possibly the police arrested me to have something to talk about to the grandchildren.”
Hutton actually has had the car for 10 years (when he found it along the highway) and as modified it significantly adding larger wheels, paint, and upgrading the engine. Looks like he’ll have to wait a few more years for his next ride.
And just like that we’re down to 7 finalists. Last week Big Mike was voted off by the viewing public but brought back to life by the judges. As a result two competitors were to be voted off this week. The unfortunate couple was Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens.
Its always interesting each year to see how the judge’s save performs in the following weeks and whether or not the public keeps them around. Looks like Big Mike not only was spared one week but now two. Sadly for me, Aaron is still around but I did think he picked up his game a little and does deserve it….for now. My guess for next week….Lee, pack yo bags.
Brought to you by Patrick Jean, this has got to be the most radical tubular 80s throwback brought to life video ever. I wish I could play Space Invaders or Donkey Kong in the real world!
And if that video wasn’t enough to blow your mind here is a similar styled one from the band Rymdreglages. They say on the YouTube page that it took 1500 hours of brick building to make!
Odds are if you’re browsing the internets right now (checking your Facebook or Twitter) and reading this blog then you watched the Disney classic Tron when you were growing up. It was/is by far one of my favorite movies (second maybe to Flight of the Navigator or The Wizard) and I’ve been anticipating the remake Tron: Legacy for some time now. Well DrewBoiX has made an awesome trailer of the old film revamped for 2010. Also, here is the best trailer for the new one, which comes out December 17th, 2010.
